In the middle of a pandemic
May 6, 2020
Looks like all of a sudden, we are in the dangerous midst of a Pandemic: scientists advise social distancing masks & gloves many think we should strike out; others say we are not ready, don't open up too soon. Don't forget the census, & to vote. Dina Titus was on today on MSNBC I didn't hear anything about when we'd reopen I'm wondering will it be 5/15? I'm working on a video, late but ongoing, due to fact that social distancing prevents clubs operating. I've not got on UTube to get instructions. I thought I had enuf software but that isn't the case. It's that I'm having trouble coordinating the software to go from 1 stage to the next. Couple of video firms from yellow pages. I shall investigate separately. all for now!!! Any of u out there who could help please let me know.

Easter has come & gone
April 20, 2020
Gov. Sisolac, has shut down the state & has asked folks to sequester themselves & their lovedones. Since I alreadylive alone, this is not a problem for me. Been feeling okay lately with some maj/minor probles arising. I am old & have underlying problems & plenty of them. POTUS is determined to reopen states where he doesn't like the Govs prettytypical of a tyrant I think. He should have owners of businesses who will employ staff to do the work should be tested 1st. Because staff w/b 1st to wait on customers. I was amazed to see such a fine array of automobiles driving up to get food. Of course as most know, economy of USA is based on how much consumers consume. That's what keeps $ rollin in. Nothing is ever said about folks should spend 1/2 & save 1/2. Because as we all see it's pretty hard to cloth, feed &lift up all 300 million Americans @ 1 time. PLus we must be ready for this type of event to happen at least 1 time in our lifetimes. And there still is the old but always relavent that we are overppulated & will be unable to feed ourselves...

Getting very serious
March 19, 2020
You know what this reminds me of? when bush sent him soldiers to war in Iraq & low & behold to Afghanistan! people should not venture to other countries & if stranded & a long wait in line should stay in city where they originated & Fed Gov will get you out. Don't panic cause the grouping I saw on the internet was not acceptable. I'm shut down pretty much so that bucketlist gig will have to be a video. I'll start with my web cam on my win 8 pc.

It looks like we are all in for a big outrageous time. Haardly any communication if not electronically. I am learning the ritual of exact-hand washing including nails. and in between fingers & thumbs. Quite awork outt. Ran across a quote from Julianne Malveaux (sp) & found a way to get on her email. darn it should be tweeter. So you'll be hearing from me via tele & mail email.
Hoping to get back to my main item on my bucket list: playing & singing guitar in front of folks. I think I have all equipment needed: two speakers guitar, cables & Mikes. somewhere nice like the Downtown Summerlin Makers & Finders emporium.

Summer is here again (A year since my last post)
July 19, 2019
I still dislike Trump. But he seems to have a way my real bud, Bill passed away this last xmas season. He was set for his 69th or 70th b'dayI not sure but I know I'll miss him. My bro in law about 6 mos older than yo passed a way recently. Also from a distant part of the family: My Dad's marriage to one of 5 sisters & 2 brothers--a niece of this brood passed away also. The 1st female to go in sometime.I've developed some health issues that I'm working thru at this time. Bucket list is still in play but the age'll be 83 in Dec. Ira used to say you don't hear from people unless things are doing okay. I see that since Aug of last year I've lost out on a water damage claim got sick & am now trying to return to things I enjoy. Hope You all are staying cool. here in Las Vegas

Xmas come & Gone Mudoo's Day, Easter & Anniversaries
August 21, 2018
August 21, 2018
Hard to believe I've not written anything since Dec. 2017. maybe posts have been eliminated, I'm not sure. But I do plan to do better. This means I've not posted since 2017. So far this year with chronic Condo problems have plagued me up til now. I'm cutting down on responsibilities &just doing what I want to do. After all, I'm not going to last forever & who wants to! smile
I guess it's this new Prez that is so annoying but I refuse to let politics lead me around. No more charities no more begs, I'm free to write, practice my guitar & take care of my property & various & sundry activities.I was very happy that I found my CT Essays. I believe all of them some 200 pages excluding photos. which I refuse to delete from my book most have passed on & therefore, I see no need to exclude them. I'm in my 80's and pics are of folks very young at the time pics were taken & no longer with us.

It could happen to any of us out there. Alan Lewis: we trust you will Rest in Peace. All who knew you will never forget you. I'm working on my CDs. After the Museum
September 19, 2017
After visiting the National Museum of African American History & Culture, one may possess a swelled head looking at all the accomplishments of the brothers & sisters. It's been a long struggle but we made it! So far, at least. This administration ismaking it hard for middle class americans, minorities & Immigrants. But, we will persevere because we have right on our side. Jazz took a hit at the Museum but again with artists like Dee Dee McNeil, Ernie Andrews and the be bop family, we should be alright. Saw an ad for the Texas Jazz Society for which while we were there, I edited the newsletter. Ira contributed a puzzle. We weren't there long! After leaving & going to Austin we were invited back and did a set. It's a beautiful setting. The theatrre is nestled along side the ocean & you can see all manner of large vessels making that turn up the Coastal Bend as it is called. An interesting location, Corpus Christi. Glad they faired okay during the last hurricane. I saw a copule of names I remember like Mike Guerra for instance. He's a bass player if I remember. None of the names from when...

Summer Days
June 19, 2017
Summer days are here. We have a new president, ugh! but I guess it could be worse. Latest heis not interested in HIV/Aids so obviously there'll be no discussion of this.
Was able to get tickets to the NMAAHC for September. DC, here I come.
We may be on the way to turning Blue if we can get rid of Dr. Smooth. That's doubtful cause fairly good repubs like himself always fall just under the radar. His refusals to sign some bills are not as bad as Govs in other States. I hope St. Sen Aaron Ford runs for CntyComm for my (our District F). Also hope that the Las Vegas Black Image can get it's act together to be more visible & active in the next elections. Maybe sponsor students to help get out the vote on local issues. That's how Aaron Ford & Ms Bustamonte-Adams got elected.
